I like to think of our minds as a computer. What we feed into that computer is what is supposed to come out. And it's like my copier here at the office. Every once in a while the paper will get caught and it keeps the machine from working as it's supposed too. Now this can be very upsetting and you must be very careful not to break that machine. You correct the problem and finish the work. With both machines, you must know what you're doing. With you and I, we must know what we're doing. What we feed into our mind and body is what will come forth
.
There are many areas that people are so defeated that they feel they cannot help themselves.
We might need to start with an attitude change from being negative to becoming positive. Here are a few other suggestions as well:
1. We must desire to make a change.
2. We need to feel good about ourselves.
3. We need to have hope.
4. We must be teachable.
5. Sometime, we need to forgive.
6. We need to forgive ourselves. Many times, this is very hard to do.
7. Know that God loves you. He will forgive you, no matter what you have done.
It is very important that we desire to change, because if not, then we will end up staying just as we are. Life will be very miserable for you and for others around you. No mater what you try to do, it will never be at your best, because you won't care. God wants more for us than a life of mediocrity. Change is necessary to embrace His good plan for our lives.
