We Are More Than Conquerors

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  What does Paul mean when he states “We are more than conquerors?”

A conqueror obtains peace with conditions, whereas when the phrase “more than conquerors is used”, the victor makes peace with no conditions. You are on the wining side, but the satanic forces don’t want you to know or take advantage of the authority you have. They do not want you to know that you are taking Jesus’ place here.

Jesus is the Head and you are part of the body, and the Holy Spirit wants to work through you. He wants you to triumph over the works of the devil, which are disease, poverty, sin and bad habits. You must quote the Word of God, or Scripture to be an over-comer.

Find verses that come against the problems you are having, and expect God to honor His promises when you quote the Scriptures and apply them, remaining in His will.

A Spring-Clean Heart

Unless we've been set free, cleansed inside and out, it's going to keep us from being fulfilled. If we're serious about becoming an individual who wants fulfillment in their life, there is hope.
This is an illustration that the Lord gave me, that I use in working with a person who hasn't been successful. If you're having problems with not feeling fulfilled, try this exercise and see what happens. It can't hurt!

In the springtime we usually like to do our spring cleaning. We want everything nice and clean when we get through.

We wash the windows, clean the walls, and wash the curtains. Whatever needs to be done, we will take care of that area. It makes us feel so good after we have finished our work, everything smells so fresh.

We too, need a good "Spiritual House Cleaning." Here is how we would do this exercise.

There are three steps we need to take:
1. Release
2. Submit
3. Trust

I want you to think about having a small door in the center of your chest. This door is locked tight, as if it will never open.
Now, to open this door you would need a key. The Word of God is that key. When used, there will be results. The door will open.

Then, you need to "RELEASE" every negative thing inside that has to do with your past or present. Allow God to do a work in you. If you've had many bad experiences, or resented someone and it has grown into hate, you can release that too.

You may have much more going on inside of you, but only you and God know that for sure. Before you try this exercise, you must decide you want to be free.

Place your hands up to the side of your chest. Think upon what is taking place, when you're ready, with your hands to your side, "RELEASE," and push out to the front of you.

Now the next step you take is to "SUBMIT." This means you're ready to lift up to the Heavenly Father all that you've released to Him. Lift up your arms to Him, and leave all that pain with the Father. Don't quit until you feel He has taken all of it. With this, you should feel like someone has taken ten tons off of you.

A SPIRITUAL GUN

I will return to the example of the hunter who forgot to load his gun, and ended up without a rabbit.

This often reflects our devotion to the Lord. If we don't pray, read God's Word, fellowship with other believers, or go to a House of Worship, then we will be unprepared just like that hunter. It really is a matter of life and death.

I like to think of it this way: we have a spiritual gun, and we have spiritual bullets for that gun. Each bullet is very special, and important. We should never be without them.
Here are the names of each bullet:

1. PRAYER
2. PRAISE
3. WORSHIP
4. SINGING
5. LAUGHTER
6. MEDITATION

We should always be ready. We don't want to be caught like the farmer that forgot to put the shell in his gun.

DON'T LIE DORMANT

We must always be looking for new avenues to glorify God. Don't lie dormant, unwilling to try new adventures. You may miss the golden opportunity that God has for you. When I achieve something I have been striving for, I feel a sense of fulfillment.

We all must make choices. Far too often, we make the wrong choices and end up with pain and disappointment. We must take full responsibility for our actions.
When things don't turn out like we think they should, it is easy to feel like a failure. Unless we have our mind upon Christ, we may become depressed or have feelings of guilt and low self-esteem.

As a woman, it is so important that you feel good about the role you are in at this time. If not, it will affect every area of your life.
Far too often, we aren't happy just being who we are. This can cause our whole mental attitude to be affected. No matter what your situation, there is a solution.

Psalm 37:4, 5 tells us to delight in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart.

First of all, it tells us to delight in Him. This means to do what will please Him. He wants to give us our desires. Yet, how can we know what we want, if we can't distinguish between yesterday and tomorrow?

Verse 5 tells us to commit everything to Him. Let go, and let He who knows best work it all out.

Next, His Word tells us to trust in Him. He is able to do the work He wants to do in us. He will, and He can accomplish it in a far greater way, than we ever could!
