When you experience a problem, what will your reaction be? As you learn more about God, will you be able to trust in His care? Or will you still try to work it all out yourself? Will you stop and think before you make up your mind? Will you be able to have confidence that His way is best, that whatever the problem it can become as nothing?
There may be a lesson for you to learn. Can you continue to praise God knowing that in His love He allowed you to go through this trial? Or, will you mumble and grumble till it causes you to get in a spiritual slump?
As children of God, why is it that time after time, we find ourselves going through difficult situations that we can't seem to get through without being defeated? We say we love Jesus, we pray, we sing, and we praise Him when things are going well. But when things aren't going so good, we seem to blow up in a very short time, and there goes our witness.
Why does this happen among Christians in all denominations? It really hurts the Church and what it stands for.
"I will hear what the Lord will speak: for He will speak peace unto His people, and to His saints: but let them not turn again to folly" (Psalm 85:8).
I am so thankful that in every aspect of my life, God had a plan for me. The verse above tells us that He will speak peace to His people. If you're a child of God, this promise is for you. You can have this peace.
Sometimes when we're sick, we need to go to the doctor. He may prescribe medication for us. If we need the medicine and don't take it, it can be fatal. God also has a prescription for us. It's found in His Word. It can be fatal if you don't take His medicine. The choice is up to us.
"He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from all their destruction" (Psalms 107:20).
