Stepping Out In Faith

As I have shared before, mountains represent the problems we face. For example, Luke 8:43-48 tells us about a woman who was ill for twelve years. She spent all of her income on physicians.

I wonder what went through her mind as she set out to find Jesus? I think she determined in her heart to get to Him. She probably had to struggle through the crowd; I'm sure she was weak from losing so much blood.

She had to first believe that He could heal her in order for her to take the first step. The first step is always the hardest. Do you believe that Jesus can heal you? When you are faced with a health problem that becomes a mountain, can you take that first big step to touch Him?

She had to believe what He could do. Do you believe what He can do? She had to touch His garment no matter how many people were there. She was desperate. No matter what the circumstance, she was going to Jesus. We also need to move out just as she did that day.
• She had purposed in her heart.
• She was going to release her faith.
• She already had hope.
• Her thinking lined up with her actions.
• She was determined to get her needs met no matter what happened.
• Something happened inside her to believe. Her faith exploded and her need was met.
• She reached out and touched the hem of His garment and was healed.
