Waiting Upon God I

So often, I hear people say, "I wish I had faith like so and so." We need to look at the relationship that person has with Jesus. How much time do they spend with Him? How much time do they spend praying and seeking God? He gives us all the same measure of faith. We must decide what to do with it.

Does God love that person more than me? I don't think so. It is so important that we stay lined up with the Word of God if we expect Him to move on our behalf.

In 1985, I was facing a big problem in my life. I knew that we all must do our part. After I had done all I knew to do, I turned it all over to Jesus and asked Him what I must do.

As I waited upon Him, He showed me the things I must do:
• Rise up early at 5:00 am to have a time of prayer. It was not easy at first, but it became a part of my life and now it is very easy.
• Know the Word
• Learn His Word
• Study His Word
• Get that Word inside of me God wanted to see how serious I was. I did, and He did! He started healing me.
• I learned how to know His Word.
• As I read that Word, I would take a verse until that Word became life to me.
• I meditated upon that Word.
• I acted upon that Word.
• That Word became a part of me.
What happened then? I started seeing it come alive in me. I have learned that it's not worth it to let a problem overtake me. I experience His rest.
"For we which have believed do enter into rest, as He said, 'As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world" (Hebrews 4:3).
