Mountains are Stepping Stones to Glory Part 3

Is the mountain overtaking you?

The more we get involved with God's Word, the more God can reveal His Word to us. He will show us how the Word works, if we are willing to listen for His voice.

Just as children must take a first step when learning to walk, the same action is required in our spiritual walk. We must take that first step of faith when there is a mountain before us. And step-by-step, we will begin to see God's Word working for us.

Here are some truths I have learned through this process:
• First, I had to have a desire in my heart to know what steps to take. I could not dwell on my past mistakes. This can hinder us, especially if we are easily discouraged.
• I had to maintain a positive attitude, not allowing anyone to mislead me. People can either be helpful or they can cause us to give in to past heartaches.
• When I took the first step, it made me feel good inside to know that I could.
• I started out with fear in my life, but He was there to take my hand. And He never let go! I could feel His presence all around me.
• Though I started with only a small amount of faith, now I am ready to take that next step. It made me feel great about myself to find out that I could do it.

"And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He sware by Himself, saying, 'surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise'" (Hebrews 6: 11-15).

One of the ways to not be overcome by a mountain is to know without a doubt that His Word works. Meditate on it, until you know for sure! Allow His Word to sink deep inside of you. Don't wait for someone else to find the answer for you, find out for yourself.

You can do it, I did.
