A CHANGE OF PLANS

How would you feel if, after you had made plans, God changed them for you? Would you be angry? Or would you understand that He knows what is best for you?
After you have realized that God does have everything under control, would you be able to commit your situation to Him? Or would you worry, fret, and stew around like someone that doesn't know what they are doing?

It is amazing how many people take everything into their own hands, and make it all much worse than it was in the beginning.
The Word tells us that if we do it God's way, it will succeed. Now who wouldn't want to succeed?

Little by little, I am learning that it is much better to trust in God for guidance, than to trust my judgment in matters. God will never let me down. I can always trust in Him.

There are four questions that we need to ask ourselves:
1. Who is God?
2. What can He do?
3. Can He do it for me?
4. Do I really believe He can?

Now let's answer all four questions. God is the great I AM. He is bigger than any problem, situation, any heartache, or pain we could ever have in our lives. And He does understand!

What is it that our God can do? He can do whatever He so desires, whenever He desires to do it. He only wants what is best for you!
Can He do it for you? Of course He can, and it doesn't matter what you have done, or where you've been, because God loves you far more than you could ever imagine!

In searching for the role for all of us, sometimes it is painful, and we stop before we really know what the real answer is.

If we are serious about finding out what our problems are, and how to correct those problems, then it will cause us to want to take what we have and use it for the one who gives us every chance to better ourselves.

Do you believe He can? Only you know that answer for sure. You see, we can never fool God. God knows everything, and He knows how to help us, if we will let Him. To many times when we have been hurt and disappointed in our life, we just fold our arms and give up before the race has ever gotten started, and then we wonder why nothing ever works out for us. There is no place to give up!

A DESIRE TO CHANGE

I like to think of our minds as a computer. What we feed into that computer is what is supposed to come out. And it's like my copier here at the office. Every once in a while the paper will get caught and it keeps the machine from working as it's supposed too. Now this can be very upsetting and you must be very careful not to break that machine. You correct the problem and finish the work. With both machines, you must know what you're doing. With you and I, we must know what we're doing. What we feed into our mind and body is what will come forth
.
There are many areas that people are so defeated that they feel they cannot help themselves.

We might need to start with an attitude change from being negative to becoming positive. Here are a few other suggestions as well:

1. We must desire to make a change.
2. We need to feel good about ourselves.
3. We need to have hope.
4. We must be teachable.
5. Sometime, we need to forgive.
6. We need to forgive ourselves. Many times, this is very hard to do.
7. Know that God loves you. He will forgive you, no matter what you have done.

It is very important that we desire to change, because if not, then we will end up staying just as we are. Life will be very miserable for you and for others around you. No mater what you try to do, it will never be at your best, because you won't care. God wants more for us than a life of mediocrity. Change is necessary to embrace His good plan for our lives.

A FUTURE AND A HOPE

God made Eve so that he would have a help mate; a beloved, honored companion who would be by his side through thick and thin. I know for some that it's more thick than thin, right? You wonder what the use is.
God created us to be both like a priceless jewel and a beautiful red rose, soft as velvet to the touch.

Are you soft to the touch? Is it easy for someone to touch you? Do you get involved easily with others? Or are you one who pulls back if someone tries to get close to you?

If you were to take a survey on the following questions, how would you rate?
1. At this moment, do you like yourself?
2. Do you feel good about yourself?
3. What would it take to make you happy?
4. Are there times when you would like to just fade away?
5. What makes you angry?
6. Do you feel you are special?
7. What bothers you about being a woman?
8. If I came to your house for a visit, would it be easy for you to talk to me?
9. What do you want out of life?
10. In a relationship, which is more important to you, your own happiness or that of the other person?
11. Do you like men?
12. When was the last time you felt great about yourself?

Do you have any problem with any of the above questions? Which one causes you more problems?

After being in ministry for 22 years with my husband, and dealing with women who are in bad relationships, I have learned that we are all different, and that we all have needs.

How we get those needs met is another question. This is one of the reasons I felt such a need to write this book. I wanted to help others find what their role in life is, and how to fulfill that role.

Our answers are usually found in a way that seems so hard. This causes many to stop, before they ever get started
.
Many times we need to work through areas in our lives, such as the following:
A. A bad childhood or not being accepted as a child
B. Sexual abuse
C. Pressures of not having what others do

How does one deal with the above examples?

No matter what has happened in our childhood, we can have a purposeful life, and we can have a good future. But we must decide that we are willing to allow God to lead us there.

AMAZING LOVE

I searched and searched
And nowhere to be found
This love that soothes all pain
Where is this love?

Is this love clear to be seen?
Or do I have to reach out?
Will someone take my hand?
I'm too busy to stop

I look at the sunset
Just for a moment
As I gaze into the new day
I find peace so sublime

As I continue to search for this love
I find that life holds much for me
When the wind blows
There is quietness in that wind

I shall always know where to find
That amazing love, deep within
If only I take the time
To look within

God has given much to us,
Some strength to move mountains
Other joy to make pain go away
Money to feed the hungry

But whatever God has given to us
Know that we are to share
That which we have
To extend this "Amazing Love"
