God gave us a slogan to use in this ministry. It may sound very easy, but try it.
"I SHALL REST AND BELIEVE TILL I RECEIVE."
For we who have believed do enter into rest." Hebrews 4:3
This verse means it is a peace that passes all understanding.
Only God can give such a peace that at night we will sleep like a baby, knowing God is in control. We can rest, knowing He will take what we have and use it for His Highest Glory in this life.
Let's look at a few people that God called to do a job for Him. By obeying God, they used what they had for Him
.
1. God called Moses; and he did not feel he could do what was asked of him. We see his response in Exodus 4:10, "My Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am of a slow tongue." With this in mind, we can see that Moses was human just like we are. He too, felt that he could not do what was asked of him.
2. God asked Noah to build an ark. Hebrews 11:7 says, "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith." People ridiculed him until the day it started raining. When the floods came, they wanted in the ark, but it was too late. When God has a job for us to do, we need to obey His voice no matter what man has to say.
3. God asked Abraham to leave his home for an unknown land. "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed: and he went out, not knowing whither he went." Hebrews 11:8 He knew that God wasn't going to ask him to do something that he couldn't do.
In all three examples, these people put their faith into action. We all need to use faith as well, so we won't miss the blessings of the Lord
.
If I had not been obedient to what God called me to do on August 23rd 1986, today I would not be leading people to Him. It pays to obey God! And if God calls you to do something, and it doesn't turn out like you thought it would, don't give up. Pick yourself up, and try again
.
What is it that you would like to do? Don't be afraid to try!
