What Are You Thinking About?

A lady had come to the Hurting Women's Ministry several times. We had worked with her until she felt that she didn't need to return.

I had not heard from her for quite a period of time. One day, she called me very upset. I asked her if I could help her, and then this thought came to me from the Heavenly Father:Say I have a cat that I love very much, one that I take excellent care of. One day, I let my precious pet go outside and he gets hit by a car. I am very upset and ask my friend to help me bury him.

Now a month later, I start missing my cat. The more I think of him, the more I miss him. So I decide that I will go dig up that cat. Now what is going to happen? I miss him so much that it as if I have forgotten that he is dead. I didn't think about how bad he was going to stink when I dug him up.

This is just what God showed me, that when He takes our problems, and then we dig them up again, it stinks to His nostrils.

"For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me." Job 3:25(KJV)

We can put on pretty clothes, put our makeup on, and fix our hair in an attempt to be attractive, but still be empty inside.

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" Proverbs 23:7

It is so important that we don't think upon things that will keep us down, but think upon good things that will make us feel good about ourselves.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things that are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
