Imagine yourself as a part of an army, ready for battle. Your captain is in charge and you are counting on him to know what he is doing. But what if this man is weak and incapable? How would this make you feel, secure or scared? I'm sure this would shake you a little.
As children of God, we often find ourselves in spiritual battles. We want to know our captain has everything under control. Yet, it is also important that we do our part to prepare. We must pray, read His Word, and reach out to others.
There will be times that we won't have enough time to pray. Maybe all we can do is call the name of Jesus. I have been in that place many times, but I thank God that I was prepared.
