I want to challenge each of you. I want this blog, and the following blogs, to help you. I want these words to fill you with hope. You are special and no matter what you attempt to do, you can achieve many things in this life.
Too often, we don't really know why we were created. For some, we may have wished that we were never born. It seems life has put us into spin and we cannot stop going around and around. Every person in this world needs to know who they are and that they can make it.
How does one find out who they are?
1. First, we must like ourselves
2. We must have goals
3. We need inner strength
4. We must be loved
When we were conceived, we were created with some kind of love, and then we were born. We now need a far greater love, and if it is lacking, we will go searching for it. Often we go looking in all the wrong places.
I think of a beautiful rose, which looks like a piece of red velvet. It is so soft to the touch. But if that rose doesn't get rain or sunshine, it will wither and die. Every human being needs so much love and if they don't get that love, eventually they will feel like there is no hope for them.
A small kitten needs love from its mother. If the mother cat walks away from its baby, that kitten cannot make it on its own. Are we any different from that kitten? I think not!
It is so important that after we come into this world that our needs are met, and knowing who we are is so important. We never outgrow the need for love.
In all of us there is a little child, whether we want to admit it or not. From time to time, it may come to the surface. For that person who has had a bad childhood, the deep feelings inside will produce either positive or negative actions. If we have the right attitude, we can make it. If not, we will have much pain in our lives.
We cannot hope to find out who we are unless we start out each day with the right attitude. You may not feel positive. You may be hurting, lonely, and feel unable to find the answer to your questions. This is when we need someone to help us find those answers, and His name is Jesus.
No matter what has come our way in this life, there is always an answer. It is never too late to find out who we are. God has a plan for all of us. It may take some longer than others to find out who they are, but if we never leave where we are standing, how will we ever get to our destination?
If you are that person who doesn't know who you are, or maybe you have problems in other areas that keep you from knowing just what your role in life is, there is hope for you. Don't ever give up. Jesus wants you, He loves you!
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
