What is Love?

Love can be life itself, like when a mother reaches down a gentle hand to us when we cry. We may not even know if anyone hears us, because we are too young to know how to respond.

Love is when we start to crawl, fall and hurt ourselves, and wonder why someone doesn't respond to our cry.

Love is when we take that first step. Oh how proud our parents are!
Love is to know that as we grow into a young person, mom and dad will always have the right answer.

Love is when that very special person came into our lives. As we start down the pathway of life and we laugh and cry together. At times, when life hurts so badly, we are there for each other.

Love is when God has given us those very special people in our lives that we call children. And from there we work together, feeling so blessed to have them in our lives.

Love is when that first grandchild comes into our lives, and oh how proud we are, because those tiny hand's reach out to us, knowing that grandma or grandpa are the only one who can help them out of trouble.

Love is when we grow old together. We can walk down a long pathway, look at the sunrise, and wonder what we would have done without each other.

Love is the hope of all things, and as the sunset fades into the darkness, we know that God has granted us all of these blessings, because we walked these steps of life together.

This is what love is to me, and without this kind of love, I wouldn't have made it through this life. And without God's love I would not make it to the next life.

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (KJV)

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
